A Little More About Your Role… We are experiencing demand for our Intelligent Infrastructure technical consultancy services and our group is growing. The technology landscape is evolving, and connectivity is at the heart of changes such as connected and autonomous vehicles and digital innovation. We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Communications Engineer to join our Connectivity Capability to work on a range of exciting projects for clients across the UK and internationally. This includes clients in the transport, energy and defence sectors. We are looking for an experienced individual with expertise in connectivity to help our clients design and implement effective solutions. This role will be a key part of our emerging Connectivity capability and will enable the right candidate to have a real impact on the development of our business in this area.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with clients to help them make effective and objective decisions about telecommunications and connectivity technology.
- Deliver fixed and mobile network technology strategy insights to relevant stakeholders to help them understand technology options available to support them in their mid to long term planning.
- Taking part or leading detailed technology strategy assessment projects (financial/functional/operating model etc.).
- Understanding business and technical requirements and defining technical architectures.
- Collaborating with client, partners, and supply chain to define technical solutions to complex problems.
- Acting as a subject matter expert within our team to mentor colleagues and provide technical support into projects and bids.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
- A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Experience working in a consultancy or advisory role, applying good analytical skills to creatively solve client problems.
- Strong communications skills, both written and face-to-face with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of and passion for one or more of the following areas:
- Mobile technologies such as 4G and 5G
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Neutral Host and private networks infrastructure
- Telecommunications cloud
- Fibre Optics
- Satellite communications
