WSP is looking for an experienced Technical Director in Fire Engineering to lead projects across the UK & Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Work on a variety of projects simultaneously – from university campuses in Scotland to high‑rise residential towers in London – delivering innovative architectural designs without compromising fire safety.
- Review design information, liaise with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures, present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and advise the design team on safety‑enhancing changes.
- Provide guidance on software packages, fire standards, team briefings, client updates, and a supportive professional development programme that may include social events.
Qualifications
- Degree (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
- Willingness to be based from any of our UK major offices.
Our bespoke programme will support you towards professional registration via IFE and other organisations, and will provide training in:
- Technical report writing
- Team specific technical skills
- Project management (introduction and advanced)
