You’ll work closely with hiring managers as a trusted talent acquisition partner, alongside the wider UK Talent Acquisition Team, helping to grow teams, build future capability, and strengthen our presence in the UK. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy search, storytelling, influencing and problem‑solving, not just filling vacancies.

A Little More About Your Role
  • Partner with the WSP leadership teams to understand growth priorities and translate them into smart, future‑focused hiring plans.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle, owning roles from initial briefing through to offer and onboarding, with a strong focus on quality and candidate experience.
  • Actively source, attract and engage engineers, environmental specialists and technical professionals from Assistant Engineer to Technical Director level, using LinkedIn Recruiter, market mapping, referrals and direct search.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for priority and hard‑to‑fill roles, ensuring we are well‑positioned ahead of future demand.
  • Represent the business as an ambassador, clearly articulating career paths, project impact and our employee value proposition.
  • Use data, insight and market intelligence to advise hiring managers, challenge thinking where needed and improve how we attract talent over time.
  • Ensure recruitment activity is delivered efficiently using our recruitment system Oracle, with administration handled as part of a smooth, professional process rather than the focus of the role.
What We Would Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
  • Significant recruitment experience within Transport, Rail, Road, Water, Energy or Environmental sectors.
  • Experience working in‑house is preferred, though agency recruiters with relevant sector exposure and a consultative approach are very welcome.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, confident influencing hiring managers and building trusted relationships.
  • Expert using LinkedIn Recruiter with experience of ERP systems – Oracle preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to challenge, advise and present ideas clearly.
  • Highly organised, delivery‑focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced growth environment.
  • Strong systems and digital sourcing capability, with an interest in continuous improvement.
