Senior Technical Consultant – OT Cyber Security role at WSP in the UK & Ireland. Join a leading engineering, professional services and technical consultancy and contribute to cyber security services across industries, focusing on Operational Technology (OT) and IT projects.

What you will do

• Provide technical consultancy services in alignment with client needs and lead WSP’s cyber security deliverables through the lifecycle of OT/IT development and digital transformation projects.
• Advise clients on Cyber Security compliance, especially with NIS-D, NIST, ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443 and other relevant standards and best practices.
• Develop frameworks for governance and Cyber Security/Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
• Analyze Cyber Security controls, review architecture proposals, and conduct Threat and Risk Assessments.
• Perform Cyber Security requirements analysis and tailor them to client needs; translate business and technical requirements into actionable plans.
• Collaborate with clients, government agencies, partners and the supply chain to define technical and procedural solutions to complex problems.
• Support delivery of best practice Cyber Security across multiple projects and provide strategic advice across the client base as part of your delivery and growth role.
• Lead and mentor teams, helping junior cyber security professionals develop their careers.

What we are looking for

• Expertise in OT, IT and IoT/IIoT cyber security, with industry experience in sectors such as Energy, Nuclear, Oil/Gas, Electricity, Rail/Road, Healthcare, Smart Infrastructure/Buildings, Aviation, or Maritime.
• Team leadership skills and experience developing early career professionals.
• Knowledge of Government Frameworks and ability to write proposals in collaboration with the sales team.
• Experience in Telecoms, SCADA, mission critical, safety critical or big data architectures.
• Threat modelling, vulnerability analysis, risk matrix modelling.
• Secure DevOps and secure systems engineering lifecycle, security policy and governance.
• Cloud Security including OT in the Cloud; incident management frameworks, security incident analysis, digital forensics, crisis management, SOC operations and related tools.
• Strong knowledge of cyber security platforms/tools (IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR/MDR) and system/device hardening; practical experience preferred.
• Experience in OT/IT or electronics engineering/systems companies, leading teams, and collaborating with clients and partners in a Cyber Security environment.
• Experience applying risk assessment methodologies in systems and software development (including Agile, ITIL and V-model processes) for optimal solutions.
• Ability to author and publish technical reports, advise clients, work with formal security frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443, NCSC CAF), and design OT solutions from a security perspective.
• Client-facing skills and excellent written and verbal communication; experience in consultancy, pre-sales or security engineering is advantageous.
• A technical degree (engineering, computer science or related) or equivalent industry experience; chartership in Engineering or Cyber Security or ongoing planning toward such accreditation is highly recommended.
