WSP is looking for a Principal Clean Water Engineer to lead technical delivery of water clean water modelling and network analysis projects across the UK & Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery and provide guidance to project teams.
- Act as client liaison and prepare reports.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and client development.
- Train and mentor junior staff.
- Develop and maintain health & safety strategies and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with corporate health, safety, environment and quality standards.
Typical Week
- Leading technical delivery and providing technical guidance to the project team;
- Client liaison and report preparation;
- Assist in the preparation of proposals within current frameworks and the development of additional clients;
- Training and mentoring of staff, especially more junior staff;
- Develop and maintain project related health and safety strategies, including risk assessments;
- Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards and ensure the project team comply with such standards.
Qualifications
- A relevant degree and professional qualification with membership of ICE/CIWEM or international equivalent.
- Significant experience in network modelling and analysis, including optimizer software.
- Detailed analysis of water supply networks and experience leading modelling teams.
- Experience preparing site condition reports and ensuring safety via CDM 2015.
- Expertise in achieving technical excellence in modelling outputs to design.
- Coordinated design interfaces with other disciplines and participated in design reviews and audits.
- Contributed to multi-discipline design programmes and cost control.
- Prepared cost and manpower estimates for proposals and projects.
- Led modelling engineering on selected projects, controlling design, specifications, costs, hours, quality and program.
- Stayed current with sector developments, delivered presentations, and developed a national professional profile.
- Strengthened expertise within modelling and wider engineering teams.
