Our Civil business is seeking a Commercial Manager to support commercial activity across the discipline. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll provide commercial leadership across complex infrastructure programmes for clients including national and regional transport bodies and leading contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting sustainable work winning, including input to bids, pricing and commercial strategy
  • Reviewing, managing and negotiating contracts throughout the project lifecycle
  • Providing commercial support during project delivery, ensuring effective contract management and performance
  • Providing risk and commercial advice during bids and delivery to support decision‑making and performance
  • Ensuring appropriate governance is in place across opportunities and live projects
  • Proactively managing change, risk and opportunity to protect and enhance project outcomes
  • Ensuring activities align with internal policies and external client requirements
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and wider commercial team initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar commercial role within infrastructure project environments
  • A solid working knowledge of NEC forms of contract (NEC3/4) and contract administration across the project lifecycle
  • Good commercial awareness, with the ability to support effective commercial decision‑making
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams in complex project environments
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, stakeholders and project teams
  • A degree (or equivalent commercial experience) in a relevant discipline; membership of a professional body is welcomed but not essential
