WSP’s Client Engineering and Advisory Services group operates within the UK Rail team, delivering integrated rail solutions. The Strategy and Feasibility team develops early‑stage railway requirements into fundable projects for both public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic rail advice to external and internal clients.
- Lead multidisciplinary projects and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
- Develop and deliver rail‑focused service offerings in light rail, freight or local authority areas.
- Plan, manage and deliver tasks and projects, including bidding for new work.
- Engage with clients and build networks within WSP UK and global communities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive experience in light rail, freight or transport for local authorities, with understanding of relevant legislative and funding processes.
- Knowledge across rail areas such as operational planning, strategic planning, business case development and engineering feasibility.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to see the big picture while attending to detail.
- Professional qualification or progress towards a professional qualification.
- Strong business development and bidding skills.
- Project management and organisational skills, including stakeholder management.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
