We are looking for consultants to join the Rail Strategy and Feasibility team at WSP. The team provides strategic rail advice to our clients. You will be responsible for providing advice to external and internal clients and for driving the development of our rail‑focused service offering.
Responsibilities:- Provide advice to external and internal clients.
- Take a central coordinating role on multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Lead the development of rail‑focused service offerings in light rail, freight, and local authorities.
- Plan, manage, and deliver tasks and projects; bid for new work.
- Engage with clients and build relationships within WSP UK and global communities.
- Extensive experience working in light rail, freight or within transport for local authorities, with an understanding of legislative and funding processes that relate to rail operations and scheme development.
- Broad knowledge across rail areas such as operational planning, strategic planning, business case development and engineering feasibility.
- A strategic thinker who can see the big picture while paying attention to details.
- A collaborative, proactive professional with a career‑focused mindset.
- Consultancy skills including business development and bidding.
- Organisational and project management skills, with good stakeholder management and the ability to lead project delivery teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Professionally qualified or working toward professional qualifications.
