A Little More About Your Role… As a Project Manager in the Civil team, you will lead the delivery of moderately complex projects, accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and resource management, while ensuring quality and compliance with WSP’s procedures and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project scopes, manage schedules, control budgets, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, managing expectations, and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, maintaining registers and mitigation plans.
- Oversee procurement activities and contract compliance, working within NEC or similar frameworks.
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and that reporting requirements are fulfilled.
- Manage project documentation, tracking milestones, resources, and change control.
Your Team and Development
You will be part of our wider Civil team, made up of over 600 professionals across the UK and sit within our Transport & Infrastructure business unit. Your future development will be actively supported with access to WSP’s full range of training, development tools and resources and be part of transforming UK infrastructure.
You will integrate into our team’s flexible working culture, offering a balance of home and office working, where safety and wellbeing are paramount.
Qualifications & Experience
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- APM PMQ or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience managing projects with accountability for delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
- Understanding of NEC contracts or similar, with experience in contract administration and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Competency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project) and a proactive approach to process improvement.
