We are recruiting graduates for the Roads team in the following locations: Truro, Basingstoke, Guildford, Newcastle, Carlisle, Glasgow, or Edinburgh.

About the Role

As a Graduate Engineer in the Roads team, you will help deliver National and Regional Infrastructure Frameworks to major projects and local improvements, including active travel walking and cycling schemes.

Projects:

  • HS2
  • Sizewell C
  • Smart Motorways
  • Dublin MetroLink
  • NM20 Cork to Limerick
  • A5 Western Transport Corridor

Day‑to‑day Activities:

  • Designing and drafting transport solutions
  • Attending site visits and inspections
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Project coordination
  • Stakeholder communication
  • Assisting senior engineers

Graduate Development Programme

The two‑year programme includes blended learning, core business and professional skills training, career development workshops, networking opportunities, mentoring for professional registration, and on‑the‑job experience.

Qualifications:

  • Graduated with at least a 2:2 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering subject.
  • Pass initial application and online skill assessment.
  • Available to start work in April or September 2026.
  • Passion for engineering and a drive to solve problems.
