A Little More About Your Role
The role sits within WSP’s digital innovation team who are working on a range of groundbreaking projects using new solutions to transform the designing and making of buildings. The role involves working on an exciting range of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) projects defining new solutions around platform approaches across a number of sectors. The successful candidate will help create subassembly strategies including libraries of subassemblies, using Inventor and other manufacturing tools, working in conjunction with our client’s and their supply chain partners. The role requires collaborating with a broad range of WSP engineers and specialists including the MMC and sustainability teams.
Your team
You will be part of the digital innovation team focused on delivering next generation solutions to clients. You will work on projects geared to DfMA at a programme level where PLM’s and configurators will be used to manage content. Our clients are all advocates of repeatable, platform approaches and are striving to change the way they design and deliver projects. You will be part of a team of likeminded individuals (the team is expected to rapidly grow, providing good career opportunities). The office is adjacent to Chancery Lane tube station in London with lots of local amenities. This is a unique role allowing the successful candidate to work on live projects whilst shaping the future of how buildings are designed and made.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
- An architectural or architectural technology degree.
- Membership of a Professional Institute – RIBA / CIAT.
- Experience delivering complex technical solutions across a wide range of sectors and coordinating offsite manufacturing solutions.
- An understanding of different technologies and how to exploit these to transform how buildings are delivered.
- A passion for developing next generation construction solutions using manufacturing technologies such as Inventor (Inventor experience is preferred but not essential).
