A Little More About Your Role
As a member of the Transport and Infrastructure Commercial Team, you will work with the Legal, Insurance, Bid Modelling, Operations, and project teams to provide advice and support on:
- Sustainable work winning
- Reviewing, managing and negotiating contracts
- Assisting in the commercial management of our projects
- Resolution of issues and finalisation of contracts
This role will report to the Commercial Business Partner for the relevant business unit.
Your Team
Our Transport and Infrastructure business includes Roads, Rail, Civil, Intelligent Infrastructure and Project Management and Commercial Management business units. You will be part of a small team within the applicable business unit, but also be part of the wider Transport and Infrastructure commercial team. Our aim is to improve the commercial practices of our people and in turn our business. Opportunity to work on an array of nationally significant projects throughout the UK and Ireland. Our clients include all national and regional transport bodies as well as leading Contractors. You will have the opportunity to grow your career at WSP within the Transport and Infrastructure business, but also our expanding market leading global businesses. We have offices at most major transport hubs offering excellent collaboration space.
What We Are Looking For You To Demonstrate
- Good commercial awareness.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of contract administration over contract lifecycle.
- A working knowledge of standard forms of contract particularly NEC.
- A relevant Degree and/or Membership of a relevant professional body is preferable.
- Preferably experience within a similar role.
