We are looking for a passionate arborist to support projects in both private and public sectors. The role involves site-based surveys, data analysis, report preparation, and collaboration with design teams.
Responsibilities- Support Principal and Senior Consultants.
- Conduct site-based surveys, assessments, measurements, inspections and monitoring in line with BS5837:2012 and tree hazard assessments.
- Collate and interpret arboricultural information from desk studies.
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, arboricultural impact assessments and method statements.
- Liaise with design teams to develop mitigation solutions.
- Analyse data and manage project timelines.
- Assist senior and junior team members.
- Work on NSIP / DCO projects, preparing technical reports and feasibility studies.
- Help manage tight deadlines and deliver high‑quality work.
- Prepare project pricing for small sites.
- Participate in recruitment when required.
- Support junior staff development.
- Enthusiasm for arboriculture and willingness to learn.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in arboriculture or a related field.
- Professional Tree Inspector (PTI) certificate.
- Experience as an arboriculture consultant and/or local authority tree officer.
- Experience using digital data capture for arboriculture surveys.
- Proficiency in producing high‑quality technical reports for planning applications.
- Ability to work pragmatically within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and survey methodologies.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK regularly.
- Desire to develop core arboriculture and consultancy skills.
- Positive health & safety approach and understanding of workplace safety.
- Professional conduct and responsibility.
