WSP invites a dedicated Assistant Arboriculturist to join our Ecology and Arboriculture team on diverse projects across the UK, for both public and private sector clients.
As an Assistant Arboriculturist you will work alongside senior professionals to deliver innovative, commercially balanced solutions. The role involves field surveys, data collection, analysis and preparation of technical reports, all in line with BS 5837:2012 and tree-hazard assessment standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to Senior and Consultant Arboriculturists.
- Conduct site-based surveys, assessments, measurements, inspections and monitoring.
- Collate and interpret arboricultural information from desk studies.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and feasibility studies.
- Perform data analysis and project management activities.
- Enthusiastic about arboriculture with a willingness to learn.
- Strong written, analytical and application skills.
- Academic qualification in arboriculture or working towards a suitable qualification.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety and professional conduct.
- A drive to develop core arboriculture and consultancy skills.
- Hybrid working – up to two days from home per week.
