A Little More About Your Role
As a Technical Director, you’ll typically be working on a variety of projects at once — from a university in Scotland to a high‑rise residential tower in London, with plenty of international work. All work focuses on enabling innovative architectural design while ensuring fire safety. You’ll review design information, liaise with other WSP disciplines such as facades, acoustics and structures, present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and advise the design team on safety‑enhancing changes. You’ll also learn about software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates from day one, and you’ll have the chance to collaborate with colleagues socially. In addition, we will assist you toward professional registration via IFE and other organisations.
