WSP is seeking a Maritime Senior Structural Engineer to join the Port & Maritime team based in the UK. You will work with a highly knowledgeable and dynamic team of Maritime experts, delivering a wide range of UK-based and international projects for clients including local authorities, private clients, and international terminal operators. You will contribute at all stages of the project lifecycle, from inception through design and construction to demolition, recycling, and reuse. You will guide Early Career Professionals (ECPs) in the Maritime team, leading design calculations, technical specifications, reports, and other deliverables in accordance with Eurocodes, international standards, and client requirements. Some overseas projects may require travel for short periods.

Responsibilities- Contribute to the technical delivery of a wide range of UK-based and international projects for a variety of clients.
- Provide input to all project lifecycle stages from inception through design and construction to demolition, recycling, and reuse.
- Lead and guide design calculations, technical specifications, reports, and other deliverables for maritime structures in compliance with Eurocodes, international standards, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with senior team members and Early Career Professionals in the Maritime team.
- Travel for short periods on overseas projects when required.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration, enthusiasm, and empathy in a dynamic work environment and pursue ongoing development within the team.
- BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or similar/related qualification.
- Chartered status (ICE/IStructE or equivalent) or actively working towards chartership.
- Experience in the design and analysis of maritime and associated structures.
- Knowledge of inspections, surveys, and rehabilitation assignments.
- Experience with engineering software (e.g., LUSAS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, Robot, WALLAP, TEDDS, AutoCAD).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to produce quality technical outputs.
- Capability to lead a small team or a medium-sized project within a multi-disciplinary project.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Personable, approachable, enthusiastic, and empathetic; committed to collaboration and team learning.
- Organized, disciplined, and maintains a structured and consistent working approach.
- Interest in digitalisation and innovation.
