At WSP, you can grow your career and work with diverse, talented colleagues on projects for global clients. Our projects span infrastructure, defence, natural environment, water, and earth and environment sectors, including highways, rail, urban infrastructure, energy, flood, wind energy, nuclear, defence and large-scale utilities. You will join the Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM) within the Civil Infrastructure and Utilities Group, with access to training and development resources. We support a flexible working culture with a balance of home and office work and a strong emphasis on safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with quality management systems and driving efficiencies in project execution
  • Providing leadership and guidance to project teams in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Supporting work winning and marketing of WSP services
  • Organising and chairing client meetings
  • Planning, monitoring and controlling projects with values from Β£1m to Β£100m with autonomy
  • Managing project change and delivering projects within agreed commercial fees
  • Undertaking contract management and administration under various framework and standalone contracts
  • Undertaking line manager responsibilities for Assistant, Graduate/Undergraduate PMs
  • Delivering projects within agreed financial metrics and taking accountability for outcomes
  • Making decisions on complex issues and guiding approach and priorities

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate

  • Professional qualification in project management, quantity surveying and/or an engineering discipline
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths (STEM) or similar
  • NEC4 accreditation and the ability to lead and administer NEC Contracts
  • Membership of professional institutions such as APM, PMI, MRICS or MICE
  • Experience in water, linear infrastructure and/or environmental projects is beneficial; focus is on developing your project management career and adaptability
  • Competence in stakeholder management, risk, planning/scheduling, and commercial management
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development in project management or related field
