Responsibilities
- Day to day running of a range of lease advisory instructions, for a variety of purposes.
- Property inspections and measured surveys.
- Standard property due diligence.
- Valuations and report writing.
- Representing and dealing directly with the firm’s clients (many of whom are blue chip).
- Maintaining Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Keeping abreast of market, case law and legislatory developments.
- Develop own business relationships, instructions, and clients both internally and externally.
About the Team
The advisory team at WSP GL Hearn provides Rating, Valuation and broader Real Estate advisory services to clients in the commercial sector. The team offers industry expertise and insights to deliver accurate advice across the UK market.
Qualifications
- Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, with post-qualification experience.
- Strong understanding of third-party, arbitrator and expert witness processes and procedures.
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
- Working understanding of The RICS Red Book and Code of Measuring Practice.
- Good understanding of the UK commercial property market.
- Well-developed report writing skills with ability to identify key issues impacting leasehold obligations and opportunities.
- Detailed working knowledge of Landlord and Tenant law.
- Strong team mindset with willingness to undertake challenging and diverse workload in collaboration with colleagues.
- Ability to investigate internal and client data to develop innovative and value-driving solutions.
- Strong desire to progress your career within a global company.
- Effective time management.
- Full UK driving license.
