Responsibilities
You will form part of an existing team to deliver airfield design and maintenance projects for a number of clients both in the UK and overseas. You will also work closely with the wider engineering team to develop and deliver projects through various stages of design from feasibility / option studies to detailed design and onto construction. You will be responsible for leading production of 2D and 3D CAD/BIM deliverables and developing our modelling and drawing production process for our projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Extensive industry experience of working on civil design projects, ideally at airports;
- Ability to set up project seed files, template files, custom worksets and cells;
- Ability to challenge and contribute to engineering detailing;
- Ensure compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) within the project modellers team;
- Proficient use of Autodesk software including, Civil 3D, Autodesk AutoCAD, Navisworks;
- Experience working with CDE platforms such as Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud;
- Coordinate Civil 3D and 2D modelling services for airfield projects, including ground profile modelling, below ground services modelling and clash detection, generation of schedules and material and quantify take-offs;
- Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process;
- Reviewing drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards;
- Ensuring that delivery is achieved in accordance with the company\βs management systems including CAD/BIM Standards, Health and Safety, project and risk management;
- Review, implement and contribute to the development of our CAD/BIM standards and modelling delivery process;
- Implement the technical quality requirements, address the project brief and meet client deadlines.
- Experience in 3D modelling, design coordination and delivery using a range of Autodesk software packages on civils and aviation projects;
- Strong ability in engineering drawing preparation and construction detailing;
- Working knowledge of BIM standards such as PAS 1192 and BS EN ISO 19650.
