Our Strategic Asset Management team is growing, working across sectors providing advisory and consultancy services to road, rail and aviation clients. As an Associate, you will work closely with the Head of Strategic Asset Management and Asset Management Directors to deliver ambitious growth. You will provide technical leadership, deliver high-quality work on time and within budget, and mentor junior team members. You will take a leading role across the portfolio on delivery, project performance, client relationships and people development while contributing to the team's operational performance. You will help shape the team strategy and contribute to monthly and annual business targets.
Responsibilities- Safety, health and wellbeing (SH&W) leadership – model and embed SH&W culture across teams.
- Contribute to team operational performance with Head of Strategic Asset Management, including:
- Ensuring successful commercial project performance
- Delivering to monthly business KPIs
- Lead development and implementation of strategic asset management frameworks for clients across infrastructure and other sectors (e.g. highways, transportation, rail, defence, utilities).
- Provide technical leadership on complex projects with expertise in risk-based decision-making, whole-life asset planning, information management and regulatory compliance.
- Lead analytical staff and technical experts to inform long-term capital investment programmes.
- Manage resources and develop relationships with other teams.
- Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent; experience expected in at least one industry, preferably highways.
- Experience with asset data systems, configuring or specifying EAM/CMMS/DSTs.
- Demonstrable asset management practices, theory, and business strategy knowledge.
- Broad knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting UK infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in ISO 55000, asset lifecycle planning, investment planning, risk-based asset management strategies and digital transformation in asset management.
- Business acumen and desire to progress into an operational role.
- Ability to develop strong client relationships and collaborate across regional/international teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence financial performance on projects.
