As an Associate at WSP, you will provide detailed advice in the field of vertical transportation refurbishment and maintenance management, overseeing lift refurbishment, maintenance strategies, and project management across key vertical transportation segments.

The role involves responsibility for managing lift refurbishment and maintenance, developing future strategy for new business within these vertical transportation business segments, and handling vertical transportation project management.

Objectives

This position combines multiple functional responsibilities. The main objectives are to manage and secure business within the building maintenance and refresh/repurpose market sector by undertaking vertical transportation portfolio management and modernization of existing units.

Responsibilities

  • Provide management and leadership for projects within the vertical transportation segment.
  • Manage the vertical transportation portfolio and lead a geographic business region for maintenance and refurbishment.
  • Secure maintenance management growth within the UK.
  • Strategize and target growth areas.
  • Manage existing client vertical transportation portfolio, including the Harrods account.
  • Conduct vertical transportation audits.
  • Create 10-year asset plans.
  • Hold client meetings, surveys, and produce reports.
  • Manage budgets.
  • Prepare vertical transportation maintenance contracts.
  • Provide technical support.
  • Produce marketing collateral.
  • Develop processes and procedures to support the business.
  • Attend site visits as required.
  • Review record drawings and O&M manuals.
  • Review lifts/escalator performance and issue reports.
  • Provide technical assistance for higher breakdowns on specific units.
  • Support UK-wide asset surveys.
  • Present findings to customers.
  • Report to the Regional Technical Director.
  • Provide ad-hoc lift consultant activities as requested by the management team.

Qualifications

Technical lifts and escalator experience within the Vertical Transportation industry. Degree or Master’s degree is advantageous but not required. A career aspiration to develop and grow.
