A Little More About Your Role…
As an experienced engineer, you will lead an already high-performing team of engineers and hydraulic modellers. You will define, manage, and deliver solutions to complex urban drainage problems, providing advice and guidance across the business.
- Provide leadership on urban drainage projects, knowing the standards and how to apply them.
- Support the team lead in managing project delivery, including supervision of tasks and review of deliverables.
- Develop the urban drainage modelling capability in the team, ensuring we are at the forefront of latest developments.
- Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support our wastewater team.
- Exercise independent engineering judgement and provide innovative solutions to engineering problems.
- Lead people, taking responsibility for growing and developing a high-performing team.
- Develop and maintain excellent client relationships at all levels.
- Develop and submit successful proposals to bring work into the team.
- Promote the WSP brand through industry forums and conferences.
YOUR TEAM
You will work as part of a dynamic and award-winning water team within a wider team of over 750 professionals. We are currently working across an expanding portfolio of work with Regulated Water Clients.
- Work as part of a high-performing team with opportunities to shape its ongoing development.
- Progress to Associate Director and beyond, combining technical and industry knowledge with the right behaviors.
What We Would Like You To Demonstrate…
- A relevant degree and chartered, or significantly progressed on your journey in pursuing qualification with ICE, IEI, IoW, or CIWEM.
- Clear and successful experience of wastewater hydraulic modelling (InfoWorks ICM) and an ability to check the technical outputs of others.
- A good working knowledge of Water Industry Specifications, Code of Practice for the Hydraulic Modelling of Urban Drainage Systems, and relevant British Standards.
