Associate and Associate Director – Fire Engineering at WSP in the UK & Ireland. Join to advance a career in fire engineering within a global engineering and professional services firm.
Your role
As an Associate Fire Engineer, you’ll typically be working on a variety of projects at once from a University in Scotland to a high-rise residential tower in London, with plenty of international projects. You’ll run through design information, liaise with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures, present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and help inform the design team about changes to increase building safety. You’ll be guided through software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates from the start, and you’ll be supported toward professional registration via IFE and other professional bodies.
You may be based from any of our UK major offices.
Qualifications
At WSP, there are multiple opportunities for our fire engineers to grow via a bespoke programme designed to provide both professional skills and specialist technical development opportunities. The programme is supported by our senior leadership team and is tailored to help you work towards chartered status or equivalent professional qualifications. The structured programme includes, but is not limited to, training in:

Requirements: A BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Must have extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry. This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.
