We are recruiting graduates for the Roads team – a flexible, learning‑oriented role in a leading engineering and professional advisory consultancy.

Role Overview:

As a Graduate Engineer in the Roads team you will help deliver National and Regional Infrastructure Frameworks, major projects and local improvements, including active travel, walking and cycling schemes. You will collaborate with clients at local and national levels across all stages of infrastructure delivery, providing a strong foundation for professional growth.

Day‑to‑Day Activities:

  • Designing and drafting transportation solutions
  • Attending site visits and inspections
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Project coordination
  • Stakeholder communication
  • Assisting senior engineers

Graduate Development Programme:

Our two‑year Graduate Development Programme blends on‑the‑job experience with core business and professional skills training, career workshops, networking opportunities, mentoring for professional registration and a breadth of practical projects.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Graduated with at least a 2:2 from a master’s or bachelor’s degree relevant to the role
  • Completed the application form in full and passed the online skill‑enabler assessment (both are mandatory)
  • Availability to start in either April or September 2026
  • Passion for engineering and problem‑solving creativity
  • Enthusiasm for sharing new ideas and inspiring others
  • Open to gaining chartered status with professional bodies such as ICE; WSP supports professional registration
