Apprentice Civil Engineer – Advanced Apprenticeship Programme
Join WSP, a global engineering leader, as a paid, full‑time apprentice. You will start an Advanced Apprenticeship in September 2026, attending a local college either one day per week or block placement while working towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship and EngTech equivalent in England. You will also have the opportunity to become registered with a relevant professional institution.
Responsibilities
- Work with dynamic teams on a variety of projects across multiple sectors from day one.
- Ask questions, look at problems from a different angle and help find solutions that break concepts.
- Gain real, on‑the‑job learning combined with business and role‑specific training.
Qualifications
- Achieved or predicted 5 GCSE’s Grade C/Level 5 or above (or equivalent) including English, Maths and Science.
The apprenticeship supports career growth through blended learning. It offers business and role‑specific training, networking, mentoring and practical experience, including an induction, training days, online content, on‑the‑job learning and on‑demand resources.

- If you meet the entry requirements and we have an apprenticeship that matches your preferences, you will receive an online skills enablers assessment from our partner Artic Shores.
- After passing the online assessment, shortlisted candidates may be invited to an interview day or interview.
- Please note that not all candidates who pass the assessment will proceed to the interview stage.
