VTOL/ Helipad Design Specialist (Aviation)
Join us to apply for the VTOL/ Helipad Design Specialist (Aviation) role at WSP in the UK & Ireland.
This position involves overseeing helipad and VTOL advisory, planning, and design services, with opportunities to expand into other airport development projects and emerging eVTOL and vertiport services. The ideal candidate should be familiar with current and developing VTOL and eVTOL regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design helipad layouts and infrastructure for surface-level and elevated installations.
- Develop concept to detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Lead technical and feasibility studies for VTOL/eVTOL operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and aviation regulations including ICAO, FAA, and EASA.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and conduct site inspections.
- Support existing VTOL/helipad infrastructure safeguarding.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders throughout project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technologies.
- Develop strategies to grow WSP’s client base in helipad and VTOL/eVTOL advisory services.
- Represent WSP at industry forums and working groups.
Candidate Requirements:
