What You’ll Do Your responsibilities will vary depending on your specific role. In a Senior or Principal‑level position, you’ll play a key part in shaping and delivering high‑quality engineering outcomes across our Geotechnical, Bridge, Water, or Civil Engineering disciplines. You can expect to:
- Lead the delivery of engineering consultancy services, applying deep technical expertise within your discipline.
- Provide technical leadership across regional and national projects, helping to solve challenging infrastructure problems.
- Manage projects or key project workstreams, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, client engagement and risk management.
- Cultivate strong client relationships, supporting business development and contributing to proposals or bids as needed.
- Oversee and/or undertake site assessments, investigations and design development, ensuring robust and innovative engineering solutions.
- Prepare and review high‑quality technical reports, design documentation, contract documents and construction monitoring deliverables.
- Mentor and coach junior and intermediate engineers, fostering capability growth and reinforcing a collaborative, high‑performing team environment.
- Champion health, safety and wellbeing, ensuring best practice is embedded across all project activities.

About You A bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Washington Accord preferred; postgraduate qualifications beneficial). Professional Engineering registration or close to achieving it (CPEng or equivalent is required for Principal roles). 8–10+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated technical leadership and delivery in your field. Significant experience working within engineering consultancy environments required. Strong analytical capability and sound engineering judgement. Proven ability to engage effectively with clients, build trusted relationships and contribute to project planning and delivery. A proactive, resilient and solutions‑focused approach, with the motivation to influence outcomes and support high‑performing teams.
