The opportunity is suited to a senior technical leader who enjoys being hands-on with complex design and delivery while mentoring others and working closely with clients. You will lead the technical delivery of transport and civil projects, support project teams, and contribute to building WSP’s capability and reputation across Western Australia.
This is a Senior role, offering technical leadership, influence and autonomy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent
- Typically 10–15 years’ experience in civil and transport engineering
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, Main Roads WA standards, PTA standards and civil design practices
- High-level capability in relevant design software (e.g. OpenRoads or 12D)
- Proven experience leading technical delivery on complex projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical risk and apply Safety in Design principles
- Strong client engagement skills with experience working on WA infrastructure projects
- A collaborative mentor who enjoys developing others and strengthening team capability

Lead and contribute to the delivery of complex transport and civil infrastructure projects across WA. Provide senior technical input, review and verification of civil designs, drawings and reports. Act as a technical authority within your discipline, supporting consistent, high-quality outcomes. Champion Safety in Design, quality systems and best-practice OHS&E behaviours. Work directly with clients to understand project needs and deliver value-driven solutions. Manage scope, programme, cost and risk across multiple projects of varying scale. Mentor and develop engineers, supporting capability uplift and knowledge transfer. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams locally and nationally. Contribute technical input to proposals and pursuits in support of business growth.
