You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality outputs while translating findings for clients. You’ll collaborate closely with civil, geotechnical, and rail engineers to shape earthworks, track formation, and foundation design. Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering geology and geotechnical inputs for mining sustaining capital and heavy haul rail projects
  • Provide technical leadership across renewals programs for track and infrastructure upgrades
  • Lead design inputs for pavement, earthworks, and slope/foundation assessments
  • Review geotechnical and geological data to drive practical, risk-based designs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and senior client stakeholders
  • Provide governance, review, and quality assurance across deliverables
  • Mentor and develop engineers and geologists within the team

Key requirements

  • 10–15+ years in engineering geology within mining or heavy haul rail environments
  • Degree in Geology, Geoscience, Geotechnical Engineering or similar
  • Strong background in mining geology, renewals, pavement design and project delivery
  • Proven ability to lead technical workstreams and influence outcomes
  • Practical, solutions-focused mindset suited to brownfield environments
