Overview
You join WSP’s Contaminated Lands team to tackle WA’s environmental challenges through field investigations, data interpretation, and remediation planning. You’ll work across resources, mining, infrastructure, oil & gas, and defence projects, collaborating with mentors to build your expertise. You drive defensible sampling plans, CSMs, and high-quality reporting that informs regulators and clients. Responsibilities
- Support on-site planning and delivery of soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapour sampling
- Contribute to conceptual site models (CSMs) and defensible sampling plans
- Utilise innovative tools to collect, manage, and interpret environmental data
- Prepare clear reports and proposals for clients and regulators
- Collaborate with senior consultants on remediation strategies and risk assessment
- Engage in mentoring and structured development pathways toward senior roles
Key requirements
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or similar
- 2–8 years’ experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation
- Strong communication and collaborative mindset
- Willingness to learn WA regulatory frameworks (Contaminated Sites Act, NEPM schedules)
- Full Australian working rights and manual driver’s licence
