Overview

In this role you will deliver workplace health, safety and HAZMAT solutions within a leading Earth & Environment team. You will support diverse projects across sectors, applying expert occupational hygiene practices to protect worker health. The position offers mentoring and growth, with opportunities to work on asbestos, mould, indoor air quality and pre-demolition surveys. You contribute to client outcomes while collaborating with a cross-functional team on high-impact projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sampling for airborne contaminants and physical hazards to inform technical recommendations
  • Develop asbestos monitoring and decontamination strategies and issue clearances
  • Perform site surveys including HM materials and pre-demolition assessments
  • Provide guidance on asbestos removal projects on site
  • Conduct IAQ, mould and moisture assessments with remediation guidance
  • Manage a range of small to medium projects
  • Assist with strategy and business development
  • Analyze data and prepare technical reports and proposals with senior support

Key requirements

  • Ideally a degree or diploma in Applied Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline
  • Asbestos Assessor License or willingness to obtain
  • Demonstrated experience in occupational hygiene or related field
  • Hands-on hazard identification, exposure monitoring and risk assessment
  • Experience using air sampling equipment and interpreting results
  • Strong technical report writing and data analysis skills
  • Understanding of legislation, standards and risk management frameworks
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and client engagement skills
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to undertake field-based work
