A little more about your role… This is a role for driven work winners who enjoy making complex bids run smoothly, lifting the quality of what we submit and helping teams present their best thinking. As a Senior Proposals Coordinator, you’ll coordinate and manage bids across a sector or multiple disciplines, under the guidance of a Proposals Manager / Senior Proposals Manager, supporting activities from early engagement through to submission and post-bid learning. You’ll be a key part of the bid function, making sure planning is robust, content is evidence-led, governance is followed, and outputs are compliant, compelling and delivered on time.
This role is significant in shaping how we win work. It requires a strong technical curiosity, a client-focused mindset and a clear commitment to high-quality delivery. You’ll be trusted to bring structure, clarity and momentum to bids, ask the right questions, and help teams turn technical expertise into persuasive, client‑focused proposals.
What you’ll get: This role offers meaningful responsibility and a clear pathway to career progression. You’ll build capability in the full work winning lifecycle, learning from experienced bid leaders whilst playing a highly visible role in live pursuits. You’ll be supported by clear frameworks, structured training, tools and an established professional community, and you’ll be encouraged to continuously improve how we plan, write, review and produce bids. You’ll also be part of a function that values innovation, using digital tools to reduce admin, increase quality, and improve client impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage single-sector, cross-sector and multi-discipline bids (typically mid-sized/mid complexity), under guidance of a Proposals Manager / Senior Proposals Manager, ensuring bids are well planned, structured and delivered on time.
- Support capture and bid preparation activities by helping gather client intelligence, clarify requirements, prompt timely go/no‑go decisions and ensure insights are reflected in bid planning.
- Lead pre‑bid and kick‑off coordination activities, including bid planning, content planning, review stages and submission logistics.
- Coordinate, draft and edit proposal content, working closely with subject matter experts to produce clear, persuasive and evidence‑based responses aligned to evaluation criteria.
- Maintain high standards of quality and compliance across all submissions by applying work winning best practice throughout planning, writing, reviewing and production activities, ensuring adherence to client requirements, and internal governance and approval processes.
- Proactively support knowledge management by facilitating effective knowledge transfer from technical teams and bid teams into approved tools and resources.
- Capture and apply lessons learned from bids to improve future performance, using digital tools to reduce administrative effort and continuously enhance bid quality and efficiency.
What we’re looking for you to demonstrate…
- Experience coordinating and supporting proposals or bids in a professional services environment.
- A good understanding of the bid lifecycle, including early engagement, planning, content development, review coordination and submission.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to structure, draft, and edit clear, persuasive and compliant working collaboratively with subject matter experts.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple inputs, priorities and deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.
- A strong quality mindset and attention to detail - able to spot gaps, inconsistencies and compliance risks early.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to take ownership of coordination activities and contribute positively within bid teams.
- Experience collating, storing and reusing work winning content to support efficient, consistent and high‑quality bid delivery.
- Experience of using digital tools and AI to support collaboration, content management and productivity, with a focus on continuous improvement.
