Overview

In this role you lead the Public Health and Fire Protection Systems team within Rail Stations MEP on major rail and transportation projects. You drive design quality, compliance, and timely delivery while coordinating with cross-functional project teams. You provide technical leadership, perform design reviews, and support sites during construction. You work with international colleagues to uphold standards and push for continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the PH and Fire Protection Systems team of 15+ engineers in the UK and overseas
  • Undertake PH / Fire systems design review and provide site design support
  • Develop detailed and performance specifications for the discipline subject to peer review
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team
  • Conduct site visits for construction-stage projects
  • Review design outputs, improve quality, and ensure programmes are met
  • Attend client meetings, gather feedback, and act on it
  • Ensure PH design compliance with relevant industry standards, client standards, and project requirements

Key requirements

  • Technical leadership and proven team management experience
  • Track record of timely and quality design delivery for PH and Fire systems on major projects (preferably Rail stations / metro)
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in work
  • Solid understanding of building regulations, British Standards, and best practices for the discipline
  • Working knowledge of Bentley Microstation, RevitMEP (or other 3D design software) for directing work
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD for directing work
  • Technical knowledge of PH design areas: building water services, sanitary drainage, surface water drainage, and fire suppression systems
