Overview
In this role you guide environmental design, assessment and management for a spectrum of projects across sectors such as renewables, aviation, nuclear and rail. You will work within WSP’s Environmental Management and Assessment Team to shape proposals, support consent processes and ensure environmental commitments are integrated from feasibility to handover. You’ll collaborate with specialists and design teams to deliver sustainable outcomes and wider environmental gains. Responsibilities
- Coordinate environmental assessments and EIA across projects
- Collaborate with diverse environmental specialists and design teams
- Develop innovative techniques, including digital EIA, to shape delivery
- Prepare environmental statements, sustainable design reports and bids
- Apply project management skills to time, budget and cost estimation
- Manage environmental inputs from feasibility through planning, design, construction and handover
- Coordinate bidding, team delivery and financial management
Key requirements
- Degree level qualification in an environment related area
- Professional membership (IEMA, IES, CIWEM or equivalent)
- Experience of environmental support on energy projects including EIA
- Solid knowledge of environmental topics and UK planning regime
- Experience across sectors such as energy, highways, rail, housing
- Experience liaising with cross-discipline teams, clients and external bodies
