Overview
As Discipline Lead for Ports and Geotechnics in Denmark, you guide the growth and performance of a 10-strong team delivering port and marine projects from feasibility to construction support. You drive business development, bid leadership, and client engagement while coordinating across disciplines and geographies. You shape the strategic direction of WSP’s Ports and Geotechnics practice and ensure top-quality project delivery. Responsibilities
- Lead business development and client engagement within Ports and Geotechnics
- Drive bid management and proposal development for projects and framework agreements
- Build and lead the Ports and Geotechnical team, including recruitment and talent development
- Provide technical leadership in planning and design of port and marine projects
- Manage projects with accountability for schedule, budget, resources, and quality
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across disciplines and geographies
- Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and client requirements
- Contribute to strategic growth and market positioning of WSP's Ports and Geotechnics business
Key requirements
- Proven track record leading complex bids and developing client relationships
- Experience driving business growth and client acquisition
- Commercially minded with strong industry insight and communication skills
- Fluency in Danish; ability to prepare high-quality proposals in English
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; specialization in Geotechnical, Marine, or Port Engineering preferred
- Extensive experience in consulting engineering focused on marine and port projects
- Proven leadership experience including project and people management
