Overview
In this role you will join WSP’s digital innovation team to advance Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) across multiple sectors. You’ll define subassembly strategies and build libraries of subassemblies, using Inventor and other manufacturing tools, in collaboration with clients and supply chains. You will work with MMC and sustainability teams to shape future-building delivery. This is a hands-on role on live projects with a chance to influence platform-based design approaches and the way buildings are designed and manufactured.
Responsibilities
- Define subassembly strategies and libraries for DfMA projects
- Use Inventor and manufacturing tools to develop subassemblies
- Collaborate with client teams, supply chain partners, and WSP engineers
- Coordinate with MMC and sustainability teams on project outcomes
- Work on programmes where PLMs and configurators manage project content
- Support delivery of repeatable, platform-based design approaches
Key requirements
- An architectural or architectural technology degree
- Membership of a Professional Institute – RIBA / CIAT
- Experience delivering complex technical solutions across sectors and coordinating offsite manufacturing solutions
- Understanding of various technologies to transform building delivery
- Passion for developing next-generation construction solutions using manufacturing technologies (Inventor preferred)
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Clear communication and stakeholder management
- Adaptability and a proactive problem-solving approach
