Overview
In this role, you provide bespoke business rates advice to commercial clients and grow a UK-wide client base within WSP’s Rating team.
You will collaborate with the Strategic Growth Director to expand the client portfolio and deliver strategic rate-saving strategies, including appeals and mitigations.
You’ll conduct site visits and integrate with the wider WSP network to leverage opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Provide bespoke business rates advice to commercial sector clients
- Collaborate with Strategic Growth Director to expand client base across various operations
- Manage and grow your own client base and workload, increasing responsibility with experience
- Develop strong client relationships and implement rates savings strategies via appeals and mitigation
- Carry out site visits as part of providing strategic business rates advice
- Integrate with the wider WSP network and build relationships with key team members
- Leverage opportunities across the organization to enhance client services
- Key requirements
- Excellent knowledge of the UK rating market
- Knowledge and experience of sector valuations for Rating purposes
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Entrepreneurial attitude to business development
- Proactive, autonomous, and collaborative in a team environment
- Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)
- Familiarity with Rating software Analyse beneficial
- MRICS qualification
