What you’ll do: Due to continued growth across our mining business, we're seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Newcastle Mining team.
This role is ideally suited to someone with around 3-7 years' experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and develop towards a Senior Electrical Engineer position.
You'll work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams delivering a diverse range of mining, industrial and infrastructure projects for leading Australian and international clients.
Delivering electrical engineering designs for mining, minerals processing, industrial and infrastructure projects.
Assisting in the design and development of power distribution systems, substations, HV/LV systems and associated infrastructure.
Supporting studies, concept development, FEED and detailed design activities.
Preparing technical calculations, reports, specifications and design documentation.
Coordinating with mechanical, structural, civil, process and control systems engineers to deliver integrated project outcomes.
Participating in design reviews, risk assessments and safety-in-design workshops.
Supporting site inspections, commissioning activities and construction-phase engineering services.
Building strong relationships with clients through clear communication and reliable project delivery.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of engineering standards and processes.
About you: We're looking for an engineer who combines technical capability with a practical mindset and a genuine interest in delivering projects that support the resources and industrial sectors.
A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
Approximately 3-7 years' experience within mining, industrial, infrastructure, energy or heavy industry environments.
Experience designing electrical power systems and associated infrastructure.
Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and engineering practices.
Exposure to project delivery across studies, design and/or construction phases.
An understanding of HV/LV systems, power distribution, motor control and industrial electrical systems.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
