b Overview /b p In this role you will lead the Exeter Building Structures team within the South West and Wales region, guiding delivery from inception to handover and shaping regional growth. You’ll drive the local market strategy, strengthen client relationships, and coordinate cross-disciplinary work to win and deliver prestigious multi-disciplinary projects. You will act as Project Director on suitable schemes and mentor the team to achieve the region’s 10% annual growth objective. This is a partnership-ready leadership role at the interface of technical excellence and business development. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Develop and lead the Exeter-based delivery team and contribute to regional market strategy /li li Manage and grow the local pipeline, including total value, qualified opportunities, and new client acquisition /li li Lead capture planning and front-end activities with clients to position WSP competitively /li li Coordinate cross-disciplinary client relationships and leverage regional structures to grow revenue /li li Support key account managers with market intelligence and cross-discipline opportunities /li li Act as Project Director on selected projects /li li Engage with senior stakeholders to secure buy-in for early positioning and strategy /li li Mentor and grow the local team, with potential expansion as workload allows /li li Represent WSP in client discussions, procurement routes, and regional governance /li li Report to the Discipline Team Leader and participate in high-profile regional projects /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE/ AMIStructE/ MICE) /li li Significant experience in team management and day-to-day operations /li li Experience as lead client contact for consultancy services and strong client relationship skills /li li Proven ability to win and grow business through market engagement and cross-disciplinary collaboration /li li Technical excellence in structural engineering design and delivery and ability to influence delivery teams /li li Ability to operate autonomously with initiative and strong stakeholder management /li li Strong interpersonal and leadership potential capable of communicating with project teams, stakeholders, and clients /li /ul ul li autonomy /li li leadership /li li stakeholder management /li li structural engineering design and delivery /li li multidisciplinary project coordination /li li capture planning and market intelligence /li /ul
