Responsibilities
- Deliver geotechnical assessments, reports and design outputs for varied projects
- Develop ground models, interpretation and design parameters
- Perform geotechnical analysis for slopes, retaining structures, foundations and earthworks; assess geological hazards
- Manage your own project tasks, ensuring quality, budget and programme
- Build relationships with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams as a trusted technical contributor
- Plan and supervise ground investigations, manage fieldwork and interpret site data
- Mentor junior engineers and engineering geologists, contributing to the wider team
- Drive innovation in project delivery through sustainable design practices and use of digital and 3D data solutions
Key requirements
- Strong understanding of ground risk, site investigation planning and geotechnical interpretation
- Knowledge of soil and rock mechanics, engineering geology and geotechnical design principles
- Experience delivering geotechnical assessments, reports and design calculations in consultancy, contractor or client environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to produce high-quality technical deliverables and engage with clients
- Experience supervising ground investigations and managing site-based activities safely and effectively
- Proactive approach to problem solving, project delivery and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams
- Progress towards Chartered status or commitment to achieve professional accreditation in the near future
