Your Impact

  • Lead strategic and technical oversight on landfill gas programs that support long-term environmental performance.
  • Develop and advance landfill gas design standards, methodologies, and innovative engineering practices.
  • Serve as a trusted expert, providing guidance to clients, senior leaders, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee project delivery to ensure quality, compliance, and financial performance across a portfolio of high‑impact projects.
  • Mentor engineers and technical staff to build future capability and support succession planning.
  • Represent WSP on industry committees, technical panels, and at major industry events.
  • Champion thought leadership through papers, presentations, and emerging technology initiatives.
  • Act as a seller‑doer—supporting pursuits, cultivating lasting client relationships, and helping grow the Waste business.
  • Lead pursuit strategy development, including go/no‑go assessments, win strategies, and proposal leadership.
  • Drive collaboration across regions and practices to expand our project reach and technical excellence.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; Master’s or PhD an asset.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario; additional Canadian registrations are a plus.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience specializing in landfill gas engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in landfill gas system design, peer review, regulatory compliance, and complex project delivery.
  • Proven experience building client relationships and delivering business growth as a seller‑doer.
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and energized by cross‑disciplinary teamwork.
  • Experience leading project teams, managing portfolios, and influencing strategy.
  • Comfortable navigating RFPs, EOIs, SOQs, and major competitive pursuits.
  • Valid driver’s licence, access to a vehicle, and proficiency with MS Office.
