Overview

In this role you support the delivery of high-value, complex infrastructure projects for public sector clients, focusing on programme, cost, and quality management across multidisciplinary teams. You will assist in planning, governance, and stakeholder coordination to keep projects on track. The position offers exposure to RIBA stages, contract processes, and risk mitigation within a collaborative, inclusive environment at a global engineering firm.

Responsibilities

  • Support project delivery from RIBA 1 to 6 with consultancy PM services and client guidance
  • Assist development of plans and strategies to meet project objectives
  • Support and manage the project team and resolve stakeholder differences
  • Assist Lead Consultant in contract agreement and monitoring compliance with legal input and variance management
  • Contribute to Feasibility Reports by coordinating inputs and delivering high-quality outputs
  • Monitor progress against programmes and propose strategies to maintain timelines or mitigate delays

Key requirements

  • Experience on public sector projects with Local and Central Government (Education desirable)
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations applicable to infrastructure projects (CDM)
  • Experience across project stages from Feasibility to Operation (desirable)
  • Experience supporting contractor procurement and contract close
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams on client behalf
  • Experience developing and managing programmes and risk management strategies
  • Understanding of cost management to maintain value and quality
  • Chartership to MAPM, MCIOB, MRICS or equivalent desirable
