The Project Management and Commercial Management (PMCM) discipline at WSP involves overseeing the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects. This includes ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working in PMCM means being at the forefront of innovation, collaborating with diverse teams, and making a tangible impact on our built environment.

A little more about your role…

  • Working within a team, supported by a Project Director and Associate Director, to plan, control, and deliver activities during pre-construction and construction stages.
  • Engaging with clients, internal and external consultants, and specialist suppliers.
  • Running project and design team meetings, preparing reports, minutes, and other documented deliverables.
  • Communicating with other WSP teams across the UK.
  • Progressing your projects and ensuring activities are completed on time.
  • Supporting our Project Management commissions to achieve safe, sustainable, and efficient outcomes.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, peers, and others who can influence future business.
  • Leading or supporting business development activities.

Your Team

You will be part of WSP’s wider Project and Commercial Management team, offering opportunities to work on exciting projects across the UK. Your future development will be actively supported within a caring culture, with access to WSP’s training and development resources. Your working week will be challenging and varied, empowering you to drive your career development. You will integrate into our flexible working culture, attending meetings remotely and in person, at client offices and construction sites as appropriate.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

  • Demonstrable capability and experience in Project Management.
  • A desire to grow and develop your Project Management career within a global business.
  • Proven Project Management experience within a consultancy environment, leading or working as part of a project team.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage teams to deliver projects successfully.
  • Passion for construction, innovation, and industry best practices.
  • Working towards a professional membership (such as MAPM).
  • A relevant degree or higher education qualification.
