About the Role
We are looking for a general assistant to join the team at a new opening at the Royal Portbury docks.
Providing meals to staff over breakfast and lunch periods.
Working on the till and servery plating food from the line.
Assisted by a kitchen team member your responsibilities will on the front of house take orders payment and serving.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve meals, snacks & drinks including taking payments.
- Clean all equipment, crockery & cutlery as required
- Help building made to order sandwiches and building plates from the service line.
- Ensure all food is handled in accordance with the standards specified in the Food Safety & Quality Management System
- Receive deliveries and check supplier invoices in accordance with the company systems/procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and company policies
- Complete all compliance and HACCP paperwork accurately and on time
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team member to ensure smooth and friendly service
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Skills / Knowledge / Experience Required
- Customer Care and Customer Service experience, preferably in a Catering environment - candidate must have the ability to communicate positively and confidently about Somerset Larder to our consumers and clients.
- Problem solving skills, ability to see the 'end game' and work around particular hurdles placed at short notice.
- Ability to use and understand Cash, Cash Handling, EPOS and Cashless systems.
- Previous Large Catering experience. (Desirable)
- Previous responsibility for stock and cash management control (Desirable)
