We are looking for an experienced and passionate Junior Sous Chef to work at The Braywood. The Sous Chef will support our talented Head Chef in the running and development of the team in training, health and safety and menus.
About the Sous Chef role
- Reporting directly with the Head Chef, deputising in their absence
- Working with the Head Chef and sous chef to develop new menu ideas and ways to improve our offering
- Ensuring the food quality is at its highest standard at all times
- Ensuring the performance of the chef team is of the highest standard by motivating and leading by example
- Overseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control in conjunction with the Head Chef
- Ensuring all food safety and health and safety procedures are maintained to the highest standard
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CDP, senior CDP
- Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisines
- Leaving Cert level education or above NVQ qualification or equivalent
- Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
- Flair and innovative with menus and food presentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
