For over 20 years, the Company has delivered fresh food solutions to pupils and staff at Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Colleges across the UK. The company caters more than 1,000,000 meals a week. Our “Fresh Food Policy” is the foundation of our success and growth in the market coupled with a desire to truly deliver on the promises we make to our clients and support our site‑based teams.

We are hiring for a Catering Assistant/cook at our Primary Schools in Tavistock to perform a variety of food production tasks along with food service in our schools. This role is working term‑time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

Role Details

  • £12.71 per hour
  • 15 hours per week working Monday – Friday between 9‑2
  • Term‑time only – working 38 weeks per year

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of tasty food and snacks
  • Complying with Caterlink Health and Safety and Food Safety standards and procedures
  • Keeping the kitchen, counter and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state
  • Providing a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers
  • Representing Caterlink and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Transporting food in own vehicle to another site
  • Working alone to serve lunch
