Benugo are looking for a Jr. Sous Chef to join the team at our unique venue at The Savill Garden. The Savill Garden Kitchen, Great Windsor Park, includes a large and energetic restaurant and cafe. We serve a seasonal menu with British classics from locally sourced ingredients in the restaurant, as well as a range of freshly made sandwiches, cakes and carbon neutral coffee in the cafes. The venue is open 7 days per week, daytime only. Shifts range from 8am to 6pm.
Salary: £15.50 per hour + service charge
Contract: permanent / full time
Working as a Junior Sous Chef for Benugo will require you to be an ambassador for this brand and deliver food that creates lasting memories. You will support the Sous/Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the venue and act as a mentor to the junior kitchen brigade.
Key Responsibilities:
- To prepare food to a high standard in any area required by the senior chefs
- To assist in any extra functions
- To provide a consistently high standard for functions and different dining areas
- To manage the Client Dining, hospitality and conference food offers when requested by senior chefs
- To assist in the training of junior staff
- To ensure smooth running of daily operations
- Hygiene and personal hygiene checks
- Staff food standards
- To ensure all Health, Hygiene and Safety requirements are being adhered to as described in the Benugo Health
