We are looking for an experienced and passionate Junior Sous Chef; the Sous Chef will support our talented Head Chef in the running and development of the team in training, health and safety and menus.

The Sous Chef role:

  • Reporting directly with the Head Chef, Sous Chef and deputising in their absence
  • Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop new menu ideas and ways to improve our offering
  • Ensuring the food quality is at its highest standard at all times
  • Ensure the performance of the chef team is of the highest standard by motivating and leading by example
  • Overseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control in conjunction with the Head Chef
  • Ensure all food safety and health and safety procedures are maintained to the highest standard

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CDP, senior CDP
  • Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Leaving Cert level education or above NVQ qualification or equivalent
  • Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
  • Flair and innovative with menus and food presentation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
