Job Description
- Sous Chef: Support Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, motivate the team to deliver high standards of food and service, ensure food safety and allergen controls are constantly met, contribute to innovative menu planning, manage mise en place and ensure smooth, timely service, support events and functions alongside school life.
- Junior Sous: Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team, contribute to creating modern, fresh dishes, ensure high standards in food preparation and presentation, oversee kitchen operations and inventory management, prepare meals for hospitality services and events.
A keen interest in cooking and professional catering, GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred) – if not already achieved, support will be provided to complete these as part of the apprenticeship, a willingness to learn and work towards a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship, a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and commitment to training.
