The predicted salary is between 43000 - 43000 £ per year.
To oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management of the pastry food offer and to ensure the WSH product is delivered to quality, consistency and presentation as directed by company standards and Head Chef. Take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of Hospitality and Retail Pastry areas. To lead the team with the safe supervision of all food production preparation, cooking and presentation, ensuring the reputation of food quality is always maintained. To support Head Chef and Culinary Lead in the drive of food innovation and concept development, marketing and implementation. To ensure that clients are given a prompt and efficient service, and expectations are consistently exceeded. Oversee all food tastings, presentations and food samplings, guiding the pastry team in all new menu implementations. Assisting in stock take as required. To ensure costings and menu planning are carried out in a timely fashion. Control cost and work towards/exceeding budget and achieving financial targets/forecasts – constant monitoring of performance. Motivate and lead the wider team – leading by example. Ensure the whole team are knowledgeable and motivated in their roles and the business through effective induction, accurate job descriptions and on the job training. Ensure all H&S bases audits are passed in accordance with GS policy and act on any shortfalls. Ensure that the location meets statutory and company requirements in Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation and procedures by completing risk assessments to ensure all is adhered to such as allergen policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Sous Chef or similar role.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
